Hello Griffins Families,

The Gloucester Lacrosse Association would like to provide you with a quick update about a change to the Board of Directors and alert you to an opportunity to lend your voice to plans for summer programming.

On 19 May 2021, Ian Woolridge informed the GLA executive that he would be resigning as President of the GLA effective immediately due to personal reasons.  It is with utmost respect that the Board of Directors accepted Ian's resignation as our club President. Ian is an incredible ambassador of the sport of lacrosse and has helped build the GLA into the incredible organization that it is. His dedication to this organization, our families and the lacrosse community as a whole is commendable and we thank him for his service and wish him well.  Subsequent to receiving Ian’s resignation, the GLA Board of Directors have unanimously approved the appointment of Stephanie Pagan as acting President until the 2021 Annual General Meeting in the fall, as per the authorities outlined under Article 4.2(c) of the GLA constitution.

Looking ahead, the GLA Management Committee is busy planning for summer lacrosse programming aligned with provincial re-opening guidelines and would like to ask for your input on our proposed plan.  A member survey will be emailed and posted to social media and the GLA website starting June 4 and will close on June 8.  Your voice is important as we plan forward for summer lacrosse programming that meets Provincial/Municipal guidelines, but more importantly sees our Griffins back together with stick in hand and having fun!

Yours in Griffins lacrosse,
GLA Board of Directors
