Our LAX family and community answered the call and we have filled our postings for Social Media Coordinator and Tournament Coordinator. We are now looking to have two remaining Specialized Ad-Hoc Positions filled:  

  1. Scheduler:The scheduler will: (1) Review the past season's floor requirements, forecast next season's floor requirements and present it at an Executive meeting prior to the Annual General Meeting, (2) Prepare a list of floor requirements and present it to the City of Ottawa Bookings department (January / February), (3) Be responsible for the buying and cancellation of all GLA floor rentals and ensure the accuracy (and timely submission) of all invoices, (4) Create and maintain a schedule for the House League Program and participate in Zone 5 scheduling meeting and assist in creating competitive season schedule, (5) Act as point of contact for the GLA with other schedulers from Zone 5 and assist the Tournament Director in establishing floor allocation, (6) Report all “empty floor” to the Executive Committee monthly and carry out other duties as required by the Executive Committee or the President.

  2. Safety Officer: This is a newly created position that has resulted from a need to enact COVID safety protocols for our Lacrosse programming.  Specifically, this individual would need to be present at all programming to monitor/ensure the completion of online COVID waivers for arriving participants. This individual would also be responsible for staying up-to-date on current COVID safety protocols being suggested by the medical community (i.e., Ottawa Public Health) and liaising with prospective venue(s) to understand and implement venue specific safety protocols.  This position will report to the Board of Directors.
