Please read the following statement from the GLA President

Good day Griffins,

Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time as we determine how best to move forward.

The Gloucester Lacrosse Executive would like to express thanks to all the Essential Workers during this Covid-19 Crisis. This has been a challenging situation for our community, province and country.  They continue to keep us safe and secure during this time and are in our thoughts, always.

Our club has been in regular contact with Zone 5 and the Ontario Lacrosse Association leadership on a weekly basis. We are following their guidelines and making informed decisions in conjunction with health and government officials at all levels.

We know that this is a time of hardship for many families and want to assure you that full refunds will be issued if the season is cancelled. Should we be able to return to play within a limited season format, fees will be adjusted accordingly and the difference refunded.

At this time we do not know when a season may start. The next key date is May 15, 2020. This date has been provided by the Ontario Lacrosse Association. The GLA Board is prepared to resume the season if direction to do so is given from all parties involved.

In the meantime, continue to keep a stick in your hand. Play wall-ball where possible, share your love of the game through social media and tag our accounts. Keep growing this beautiful game in all the ways you possibly can under the current circumstances. Knowing that one day we will all be back in the arena playing and watching the game we love.

Please, stay healthy, stay safe and be kind to one another.

Ian Woolridge
