Gloucester Tournament
July 1st - July 3rd, 2011
The Ray Broadworth Memorial Tournament has been hosted by the GLA in early July for nearly 30 years.
Ray Broadworth (deceased) of Gloucester, was inducted to the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2005. He was elected in the Builder category. He was a founder of Gloucester Lacrosse Association in 1970. Broadworth was the epitome of a volunteer sportsman and spent countless hours organizing events, promotions and rallying support and volunteers ensuring that all players had a place to play. He advocated “giving back” to the community and their sport and through the children he gave a place to play, his legacy lives on in Gloucester and within the Griffins community.
