Girls Bantam – Nic Aitken
Girls Midget - Vacant
Girls Intermediate - Vacant

Intermediate – To be assigned from Jr C coaching staff should registration numbers warrant forming a team.

Note: Vacancies will be filled on an as needed basis going forward this season.
Tryouts and Assignment of a Team to a Coach
GLA competitive coaching candidates are ranked to ensure all players are given an equal opportunity to compete for a roster spot at tryouts.  Being the first ranked candidate does not guarantee the coach’s son/daughter a roster spot on the #1 team, nor does being the second ranked coach mean the coaches son/daughter will be assigned to the #2 team by default.  The first ranked candidate has the first choice of GLA competitive team to coach (presumably the team that their son/daughter is assigned to after tryouts).

The Gloucester Lacrosse Association is now taking coach applications for the 2017 season.

Please complete and return the attached form before January 20, 2017, 11:59PM, by email to GLA VP Programs, Shawn Doyle (  A confirmation email will be sent within 24-48 hrs indicating that your application has been received.

General information regarding the 2017 GLA Competitive Lacrosse Program

  • Boys Competitive Teams: We intend to field two teams at seven age groupings this season, subject to player availability -- Tyke through Intermediate.  The boys will be formed following Jr C teams formation.
  • Girls Competitive Teams: We intend to field one team at four age groupings this season, subject to player availability -- PeeWee, Bantam, Midget and Intermediate.

  1. If there is sufficient interest, the Tyke and Novice teams would be divided into major and minor teams (i.e. Major team consists of players born in odd years: 2009 and 2007; Minor team consists of players born in even years: 2010 and 2008).  Sufficient interest means at least 15 runners and a goalie in each birth year trying out.
  2. PeeWee 1 & 2 (birth year 2005/06), Bantam 1 & 2 (birth year 2003/04), Midget 1& 2 (birth year 2001/2002) and Intermediate (1996-2000) teams will be selected from the players evaluated to be the best fit at tryouts.
