Please note that although we have a separate Girls Program for Novice through Midget, we do encourage girls to play with the boys if they so wish.
2011 HOUSE LEAGUE WRAP-UP AND BBQ - WEDNESDAY, JULY 6TH
The 2011 House League season wrapped up on Saturday with a full day of games at Kilrea and Barrett arenas. There was some excellent competition and some unexpected upsets.
If you have pictures from Saturday's games or from other games during the season and would like to share them, please forward them to our webmaster. Please make them small or medium sized. Most mail applications have an option to change the size of pictures (small, medium, large, original) before sending.
There will be an end-of-the-year BBQ for all house league players on Wednesday, July 6th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm out behind Armstrong Arena on the Trillium Field. Players can pickup their GLA t-shirts and coaches and players can drop off any remaining jerseys and goalie gear at this time. House League orders for the GLA ZombieSkins will also be available for pickup.
Our Junior C team plays their last home game of the season at 8:00pm at Armstrong and all GLA players (wearing their t-shirts) will be admitted for free. Cost for adults and siblings is $5.00

Call For Volunteers
Folks, your kids need you to step up! The GLA needs you to step forward and help us create and run an enjoyable lacrosse experience for your children. We need coaches to run the bench and convenors to help organize and supervise the various age groups. No experience is required for either of these positions. All we ask is that you volunteer and be prepared to learn as you go. Also, we would like High School aged players (or older) to volunteer to be "Technical Advisors" to our volunteer coaches. A good way to get some of those volunteer hours done!
For those of you who have never coached and/or played lacrosse before, resources will be made available to assist in practice planning etc and we hope to assign a "Technical Advisor" to assist in teaching the technical aspects of the game.
If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me.
