GLA BBQ Night - a huge success!

Barrett Arena was the place to be on the sweltering evening of July 6th as the GLA celebrated the end of a superb House League season and the last month before the Provincial Championships. Kids of all ages were out with their families enjoying hot dogs, drinks and a chance to see their teammates and opponents. In fact, over 700 hot dogs were eaten!! Teams also returned goalie equipment and jerseys and took home their souvenir t-shirts. The Skills Competition was very popular and the surprise arrival of professional lacrosse players, Jeff Zywicki and Luke Wiles from Prostarlacrosse.com to help judge the trick shot competition made the night an even greater success.

We truly hope that all of the House League teams had a great season and will return again next season. Tell your friends about the great sport of lacrosse and get them out as well. Good luck to the Competitive Griffins teams in their last tournaments and the Provincial Championships.

Lastly, thank you very much to all of the volunteers, coaches, trainers, managers, referees, families and Giant Tiger (BBQ Sponsor) who helped to make the HL season and BBQ such a success.

Of note, if you were a HL or Competitive team player and/or Coach, your hot dogs and drinks were to be provided by the GLA. If you were asked to pay for them, please contact president@gloucester-lacrosse.com if you would like a reimbursement.

We will host another date to pick up t-shirts for those who were unable to attend watch the G-news and web sites for details.
